Oliphant took office as Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney on January 1, 2019. Prior to her election, she worked as a Deputy Prosecutor from 2009 to 2018. She began her career working on misdemeanors and traffic infractions in Judge Kenneth Todd’s court. In August 2016, Oliphant took over major felonies in Judge Marc Kellams’ court, working on a wide variety of felony cases, including thefts, operating while intoxicated, batteries, robberies, burglaries, and murders. In 2016 through 2018, Oliphant taught as an adjunct instructor at Ivy Tech Community College in criminal evidence/investigation and criminal law.
